There was a huge turnout in Dunedin as the South kicked off School Strike 4 Climate marches and events. Thousands of people are taking part in what could be the country's biggest intergenerational climate change march. It is the third School Strike 4 Climate, part of an international movement sparked by Swedish teen Greta Thunberg. School Strike for Climate Change Southland coordinator Ashleigh Putt-Fallows leads the way for a peaceful protest for climate change action in Southland.
