Spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry Mr. Makol is quotedby a local news paper, The Dawn Newspaper, as saying “We thought of closing anumber of embassies so that we can manage the remaining ones well,” reportedthe East African. Another official in the Ministry who spoke on condition ofanonymity reportedly told The East African that South Sudan is yet to decide onthe number of embassies that it is going to close. Chinese News source, Xinhua, reported, as cited in The East African, that “country is reviewing the status of its 39 embassies and a consulate in Dubai before deciding on the number to be closed.”Join the conversation.
