Footage of the incident shared online shows the building ablaze standing tall against the black night's sky. Large pieces of burning debris can be seen falling off the tower onto the ground below. In one clip the flames can be seen rising up the entire side of the building while the opposite side appears relatively unaffected. Satellite images of the area shows a helipad on top of the building, which is called the Samhwan Art-Nouveau. Shortly after the fire broke out firefighters rushed to clear the 136-household block of all residents.
