Fire and Emergency NZ area commander Colin Russell said people should not be doing any "hot work" with electrical equipment on Tuesday. "While we are all vulnerable to hot temperatures, some people are particularly at risk. The hot weather follows a bleak summer in Christchurch with long stretches of below average temperatures.
