NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said the spillage reportedly extends from the Porter Pass summit along SH73/West Coast Road, to the intersection with Benmore Road, near Springfield. They said the combination of oil and rain had made for “slippery conditions for vehicles to navigate.”Crews have now been sent to the site of the spill to begin the cleanup.
