Timaru Master Builders president Steven Brooks, left, of Steven Brooks Building, with Drew Chisholm and Josh Still, says his staff are thrilled to be back and working during alert level 3. A return to work under level 3 lockdown rules has delighted many in South Canterbury but it comes with a feeling of unease that the full impact of alert level 4 is yet to be felt. Meanwhile, an additional $70,000 has been made available to the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce by the Government for businesses in the region to receive professional advice. The chamber received $74,000 in March that has already been distributed to businesses, chief executive Wendy Smith said. "Many businesses have now prepared business continuity plans, cash flow forecasts and revaluated staffing needs over this crisis period."
