South Auckland principal struck off for 'worst kind of misconduct'TROELS SOMMERVILLE/FAIRFAX NZ Jenny Leach was censured by the NZ Disciplinary Tribunal, and her registration was cancelled. A south Auckland principal has been struck off for faking documents, in what authorities describe as the "worst kind of misconduct". The tribunal noted that Leach's behaviour "struck at the heart of the expectation for honesty and integrity that teachers owe the public. "We consider this to be a clear-cut example of the worst kind of misconduct for which the maximum penalty of cancellation is reserved." In addition to being struck off as a teacher, Leach must also pay 40 per cent of the tribunal's costs.
