Johannesburg, March 11 (IANS): South Africa defeated West Indies by 284 runs in the second and final Test to finish their World Test Championship cycle with an emphatic 2-0 series win, here on Saturday. With this 2-0 series win, South Africa are placed third in the WTC standings. The hosts began the day with a lead of 356 runs over West Indies. Six West Indies batters fell to single-digit scores. At the end of the first session, West Indies were in deep trouble at 34/6, and it seemed like they'd fail to cross 100.
