Addis Ababa, August 26/2023 (ENA) Ethiopia’s endorsement to join the BRICS bloc is a great moment to push for a Pan-Africanist agenda as the country is the seat of the African Union, South Africa's TV news channel eNCA reported. The emerging-markets bloc of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) has invited 6 countries to join the group in its 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. Particularly, it is great news that Ethiopia is part of BRICS, Head of Research relations at Al Jazeera Center of Studies, Thembica Fakude told eNCA TV. She added that South Africa can learn from these countries when it comes to issues of economic growth and unemployment. The journalist was also overwhelmed by Ethiopia’s membership of BRICS that the country has been working to manage conflicts over the past years.
