South Africa: Road Traffic Management Corporation Welcomes High Court Decision On eNATIS

press releaseThe Road Traffic Management Corporation feels vindicated by the order handed down by the North Gauteng High Court instructing Tasima to immediately vacate the premises it currently occupies and hand-over control of the eNatis to the RTMC. The court rejected Tasima's interpretation of the Constitutional Court decision which ordered them to hand-over the services of the eNatis system to the RTMC within 30 days. Tasima had sought to convince the court that the intention of the Constitutional Court order was to provide an open ended period, the end of which could not be determined when the order was made. "I find that the terms of the hand-over order, read with the judgments, are unambiguous. The appeal application will be heard by the same judge on Wednesday April 5, 2017 in the North Gauteng High Court.
