It has emerged that Members of Parliament allied to His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto have been finding themselves in a tight corner over the finance bill. This is because the finance bill has already been rejected by a majority of kenydms who are their electorates yet the Head of State has insisted that the bill must be passed. This leaves the lawmakers in a dilemma on the route to take considering that they do not want to betray the voters nor fail the Head of State president William Ruto. William Ruto has insisted that Kenyans should ask their legislators for jobs if they fail to pass the proposed Finance Bill 2023 in Parliament as he defended it. Among those against the bill is Workers' unions who have decried implementation of the planned tax regimes and urged Parliament to reject proposed amendments in the Finance Bill, 2023.
