Professionals from sound and light industry across the state have called for a state wide Mute Day on August 15 to highlight their problems. The Professional Audio and Lighting Association (PALA) representing the sound and lighting professionals in the 29 states and seven union territories, today held press conference and announced this decision. We are observing Mute Day on the occasion of Independence Day as well as during the Dahi Handi celebrations. Explaining about the manner in which the Mute Day will be observed, he said, "We will follow the rule book. We would rather not take any orders on that day and end up on the wrong side and call upon more troubles on ourselves."
