Soumya played the recently concluded three-ODI series against the Kiwis, and will now join the side for the Tests. The Tigers were swept 3-0 in the ODIs, with Soumya scoring nought, 22 and 30 in the three games. Soumya last played a Test against the West Indies last year in November-December, and made 19 in the first innings. The first of three Tests between the Tigers and the Kiwis begins next Thursday at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
