Sotto’s awaited NBL debut faces delayMANILA, Philippines — Kai Sotto’s much-awaited debut with the Adelaide 36ers may be pushed back to a later date pending the decision of the Australia National Basketball League (NBL) on its original Nov. 18 opener. NBL commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said the league is exploring options and discussions in an attempt to accommodate fans and sustain the home-and-away format amid the pandemic. That, however, would depend on the COVID-19 cases in the country and the travel situations being monitored by the league a month before the original start date. “We’re still scheduled officially to start on Nov. 18. The NBL is looking at this month to decide on the opening date although it has ruled out a possible delay until early next year with the safety of everyone remaining as the top priority.
