President Barack Obama said Thursday that he believed Donald Trump should get national security briefings as a presidential candidate, defusing talk that the Republican nominee shouldn’t be entitled to the information out of fear that he might leak it. It is unclear if, in fact, his briefings have started yet, as his campaign chairman said on Wednesday that he had yet to receive them. Trump, despite his impulse to discuss whatever is on his mind in that moment, is no different. “We are going to go by the law ― both tradition and the law,” Obama said during a press conference.
