Kenya Union of Sugarcane Plantation and Allied Workers Deputy Secretary General John Ogutu said the management had failed to pay workers for the past three months. DELAYED WAGES“The casual workers have not received salaries for three months (January, February and March) while permanent workers are yet to receive February and March salaries,” Mr Ogutu said. The workers, in a letter by Mr Ogutu dated March 23, 2019, issued a seven-day strike notice to the company. Sony Sugar company Managing Director Bernard Otieno said he was on leave and could not comment on the ongoing strike.
