The son of undocumented immigrants from Mexico has been chosen as a Rhodes Scholar who'll pursue post-graduate studies England's Oxford University next year. Oscar De Los Santos, of Laveen, Nevada, was among the recipients announced Sunday from 882 applicants endorsed by 311 colleges and universities. De Los Santos currently is a lobbyist and manager of public policy for the Association of Arizona Food Banks. The American students will join an international group of scholars chosen from 18 jurisdictions around the world. The first class of American Rhodes Scholars entered Oxford in 1904.
