Some schools suspend classes in view of transport strike

Transport group Piston is holding a protest against the phaseout of old jeepney units. At 9:45 am on Monday, the demonstrators rode about 20 motorcycles and jeepneys from Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City to Welcome Rotunda. They are now holding a program at Welcome Rotunda and this event has slowed the flow of traffic in the area. Some schools have suspended classes to avoid being affected by the transport strike. These schools include San Sebastian College and De La Salle University.
