But they got some good news Thursday, when they landed their top recruit to hold a key open seat in Washington state. State Sen. Dino Rossi said Thursday during an appearance at the Washington State Republican Party’s annual dinner that he would seek the seat being vacated by Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Wash.). GOP strategists are high on Rossi’s ability to hold Reichert’s seat. In a Facebook post early Friday, Rossi said he had made his decision to run for Reichert’s seat after a hearing from family, friends and potential constituents.
