ALOR STAR: The sole survivor of Tuesday's fire tragedy that claimed the lives of five people in Sungai Petani, succumbed to his injuries today. Kuala Muda police chief Assistant Commissioner Saifi Abdul Hamid said police have informed on Samsul's death to the Indonesian consulate office in Penang. Samsul was rushed to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani before being transferred to HSB on the same day. Saifi said police are also seeking assistance from the Indonesian consulate office to obtain DNA samples from the deceased families for comparison. "We have asked the consulate office to assist us because we need DNA from the deceased families to confirm their identities."
