Morocco, which has one of the largest solar parks in the world, is willing to share its expertise and know-how in renewable energy with Chad within the frame of a south-south and solidarity-based cooperation. The pledge was made lately by Moroccan Ambassador to N’Djamena, Abdellatif Erroja, during the launch ceremony of the “solar energy project for rural development in Chad”. The electricity and solar energy sector in Africa offers huge investment opportunities for win-win partnership, underlined the Moroccan ambassador. Chad’s solar energy project for rural development aims to provide reliable and affordable electricity supply to the inhabitants of the Toukra–Mandelia locality, south of the capital city (N’Djamena). Morocco’s Noor Ouarzazate solar complex is one of the world’s largest solar farms.
