SOKOTO State government under the leadership of Rt. Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal spends nothing less than seventy million nairas monthly on the provision of water within the state capital. E-WASH, a programme funded by USAID, has entered into a partnership with Sokoto State water board, to tackle water scarcity challenges in Sokoto State. The Assistant general manager highlighted how the government spends close to a hundred million naira monthly to provide water to the society. ALSO READ:Muazu further highlighted the huge amount state government is expanding on the provision of water monthly, which includes 30 million nairas for PHCN, 13 million nairas for maintenance, 12 million nairas on diesel and another 15 million nairas on chemicals for the treatment of the water.
