KUALA LUMPUR: The Social Security Organisation (Socso) aims to persuade 2.8 million self-employed Malaysians to register with and contribute to the Self-Employment Social Security Scheme (SESSS) this year. “I hope all the self-employed will come forward to register and contribute under the scheme this year. Socso self-employed scheme division head Azhar Nadzri said that 167 insured persons who were self-employed have been approved to receive benefits from the scheme from 2017 to Jan 3,2020. He said the self-employed should register with the scheme as it had many benefits for themselves, their families and dependants. He said Socso would be organising the Karnival Wow Perkeso from Feb 29 toMarch 1,2020, at Wisma Perkeso to promote the scheme.
