Sheffield United have broken the club’s transfer record a third time in the current window by signing French striker Lys Mousset from Bournemouth on a three-year deal, the newly promoted Premier League outfit announced on Sunday. United did not disclose the fee but British media reported they had paid Bournemouth 10 million pounds ($12.50 million) for the 23-year-old forward. “Lys is big, quick and a different type of threat at the top of the pitch to what we already have,” United manager Chris Wilder told the club’s website https://www.sufc.co.uk/news/2019/july/lys-mousset-signs. The club also brought in Phil Jagielka and Ravel Morrison in their bid to stay in the top flight. Mousset could make his United debut against his former club when they meet in their Premier League opener on Aug. 10.
