SocGen Reaches Agreements on Libor, Libya Litigation


Société Générale SA France said Monday it reached agreements in principle with U.S. and French authorities regarding its alleged manipulation of Libor rates and transactions involving Libyan counterparts. The French bank will pay a $860 million to U.S. and French authorities in relation to the transactions, and to settle claims of attempted Libor manipulation.
