A Moyvane native living in the UK has told The Kerryman that she feels incredibly lucky to have been chosen to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. With her age making her a prime candidate for the vaccine jab, Eileen said that the process of getting the first dose could not have gone more smoothly, describing it as a "military operation" in its efficiency. Eileen - who said that getting the first jab was like a weight off her mind - will go back to get her second and final vaccine jab in three weeks' time. As to what she would say to anyone out there who is maybe on the fence about getting the vaccine, Eileen said that people have nothing to fear from it and we should feel lucky that we are able to get a vaccine at all. "If you can get a vaccine, you are a very lucky person because look at how many people in the world cannot get a vaccine against anything.
