Several centimetres of snow fell on Edmonton overnight and Environment Canada is forecasting the snow will continue through the weekend. "A slow-moving frontal system will continue to maintain a band of heavy snow across central Alberta," stated the snowfall warning issued Friday morning. Along with the snow, temperatures will be in deep-freeze territory this weekend and stay there into next week. In Edmonton, temperatures will dip into the minus 20s Saturday night and remain there through Tuesday. Edmontonians bundle up Friday morning as snow hits the city and temperatures are forecast to plummet.
