PETALING JAYA: Two snatch thieves failed in their attempt to steal a bag from a woman when they were rammed by her friend on Sunday morning. Her friend, who was driving nearby, spotted the snatch thieves and immediately rammed into their motorcycle with her car and this caused the men to fall from their motorcycle. The police then arrived on the scene before sending the thieves to the hospital for their injuries to be treated. Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Chong Kok Sin said an investigation showed that the motorcycle used in the snatch theft had been reported stolen in the area. ACP Chong said that the case is being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for gang robbery.
