Wednesday morning, NBC and Snapchat debuted a daily news show, “Stay Tuned,” hosted by NBC News correspondents Gadi Schwartz and Savannah Sellers. The show marks a shift for NBC onto mobile social media platforms that appeal to younger viewers. The casual style of “Stay Tuned” also reflects NBC’s attempt to attract younger viewers. Snapchat launched video shows on Discover back in August 2016, focusing on lifestyle and pop culture. Though Snapchat has been overtaken by Instagram as the most influential photo-sharing app in the United States, Snapchat is still used by 166 million people worldwide every day.
