TORONTO — The Blue Jays’ bats awoke, Francisco Liriano found the plate more often than not and both the Red Sox and the Orioles were getting spanked. For a day, all was right again for the now alone-in-first Blue Jays thanks to a 15-8 thumping over the visiting Minnesota Twins. More importantly from a Jays perspective was the Jays’ bats finally busting out. The win combined with the Red Sox loss in Kansas City puts the Jays (72-56) a game up on the Sox (71-57). Just before Friday’s game, the Jays announced a trade that will re-unite catcher Dioner Navarro with his old club.
