Smitha Ramakrishna and Durgesh Das were married Oct. 19 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Scottsdale, Ariz. Kiran Kumar, a Hindu priest, officiated. She graduated from Harvard, from which she also received an M.B.A.She is a daughter of Pushpa Ramakrishna and B.L. The bride’s father is the director of the Grand Challenges Scholars Program Network at the National Academy of Engineering in Washington. Her mother is a professor of biology and a program director at the National Science Foundation, also in Washington. Mr. Das, also 28, is pursuing a joint M.B.A./Master of Science degree at M.I.T.
