At around 6:20 p.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to the 23900 block of Laytonsville Road in Laytonsville, near where a small Cessna-style plane crashed in a field, a spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said. The victim was not identified, and authorities believe the person was alone in the aircraft. The plane was in flames when emergency responders arrived on the scene, but the fire was put out, the spokesman said.
