According to the well-worn phrase, “Small towns are the backbone of America.” If this is true, then travel enthusiasts should visit each quaint vertebra in the vast body of America. Though lacking the glitz and glamour of the big cities, the small town owns more sublime qualities, such as solitude, provincialism, and satisfying simplicity.
