Growth in the technology sector has slowed from earlier highsIreland is seeing a slowdown in the number of tech jobs despite overall growth in the sector. In December, business activity rose at the softest rate in three months, new business growth also eased to a three-month low, and employment rose only modestly. AIB chief economist David McNamara said it still implies robust growth, driven by gains in current activity, new business and employment. Separate figures last week for the manufacturing sector showed it added jobs in every month of 2025, part of a 13-month unbroken run of gains. December’s manufacturing PMI reading of 52.2 was above the neutral threshold for the 12th consecutive month.
