Pidilite’s customers seem to have shied away in the March quarter (Q4), resulting in a massive slowdown in domestic volume growth across consumer and industrial segments. Overall, the consumer business saw dismal volume growth of just 4% in Q4, compared to 11% in the quarter ended December (Q3). Revenue growth fell to 10.3% year-on-year in Q4, compared to five consecutive quarters of 14%-plus growth rates earlier. Against an expected ₹317 crore Ebitda, according to Bloomberg’s consensus estimates, Pidilite’s Q4 Ebitda came in at ₹279 crore. Revenue and volume growth could also rise after the elections, according to analysts.
