The vehicle of Dunedin man Stephen Lowe has been discovered where it has been abandoned since he went missing on Friday, police say. His car was discovered south of Dunedin yesterday, after sightings by members of the public were reported to police, Detective Sergeant Nik Leigh said. ''The area where he is is pretty thick bush so it will be slow searching,'' Det Sgt Leigh said. Police had received reported sightings from elsewhere in Otago, but Det Sgt Leigh was confident the vehicle had sat in the area where it was discovered since Friday. He thanked the public for their assistance in locating Mr Lowe's vehicle.
