A total of 35 members of Extinction Rebellion used their bicycles to create a barricade across the quays in protest over carbon emissions from vehicle traffic. However, according to Extinction Rebellion member Manuel Salazar, the vast majority of motorists had their support. "We kept moving very slowly to combat carbon emissions and the Government's inaction over the climate emergency."
