Police in Slough have brought in extra stop and search powers after a robbery which left a boy needing hospital treatment. The boy, in his late teens, was hospitalised after he suffered a cut to his leg during a robbery near Ferrers Close where his bag and e-scooter were taken. The order gives police a right to stop and search people in a specific area without needing reasonable grounds. Inspector Rupinder Gill, based at Slough police station, said: “Officers will continue to have extra stop and search powers whilst we investigate this incident.
