The rescue operation was conducted by a team from Wildlife SOS, a non-profit organisation, after they received a call from a Forest Department official. A press release stated that the bear cub had wandered into a large millet field and got stuck in the snare while climbing a tree. “In a desperate attempt to break free, the bear struggled for hours, and this caused the snare to tighten its grip around the waist.
