ARAU: The poor maintenance of a playground near the Istana Arau and night market here is posing a danger to the public. A parent said mats placed on the ground near the slides, swings and monkey bars at the playground were slippery and broken in some places. Fareez Roslan, 33, said his 2- year-old daughter sustained injuries to the ankle and forehead three weeks ago when she slipped and fell on the rubber mats. The civil servant said a pregnant woman, who was walking with her child, slipped and fell on the mats recently. “Fortunately, my daughter and the pregnant woman did not sustain any serious injuries.
