With the Centre deciding to slash the NCERT syllabus by half, the Delhi government raised suspicions over the move wondering whether the aim is to promote some bias. Addressing an event organised by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) on Tuesday, he said, "We really appreciate the decision taken by the Union ministry. Earlier on Saturday, soon after Javadekar's announcement regarding the syllabus, Sisodia had also taken to Twitter saying, "Thanks @PrakashJavdekar Sir! The AAP government has been demanding the reduction in the syllabus of students ever since it came to power in 2015. And, now with this decision of the Centre, things will become easier for the students and teachers of higher classes as well," Sisodia said.
