DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said on Sunday a 3.76-kilometer (km) stretch of the 18.68-km elevated road would be opened to ease traffic congestion. About 8,000 motorists will benefit from the opening of the 2.2-km C5 Link Flyover. “Vehicular traffic spends about 1.5 hours just to cross from Villamor area in Pasay City to Taguig via Fort Bonifacio. The P10-billion C5 South Link Expressway seeks to connect Taguig to Parañaque, Las Piñas and Cavite through the Cavite Expressway, cutting travel time from an hour and a half to just 30 minutes.
