Keywords: Anantapur, Karnataka, accident Six people have been confirmed dead while five more have been severely injured in a gruesome accident involving a Chevrolet Tavera vehicle and a truck near the Sankepalli village of the Mudigubba mandal of the Anantapur district. According to the police and eye witnesses, a truck going towards Anantapur hit a Chevrolet Tavera vehicle going to Tirupati from Anantapur at around 3:40 a.m., killing five people on the spot while injuring six more severely. Meanwhile, two of the injured are learnt to be very critical while the remaining are said to be relatively stable. One died while being shifted to the Rural Development Trust Hospital at Battalapalli mandal headquarters, about 20 km away.
