The Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on Monday arrested the absconding accused in the six murder case from Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar. A team of APBn arrested him from Balukhali Camp in Ukhiya upazila. The arrestee is Sabbir Ahmed alias Lalu, 30, son of Abdul Motaleb of Camp no 18 at Balukhali Camp. Lalu is a top terrorist of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa), APBn said. On October 22, 2021, six people were killed in a madrasa of the Rohingya camp.
