10 hours agoSix vehicles transporting miraa and Muguka have been impounded in Murang'a county on the orders of inspector general of police, Joseph Boinet. Probox pickups were seized by the police after some of them obstructed the Inspector General's motorcade at Makuyu, Murang'a county, while on his way to the Madaraka day celebrations that were held in Meru. Murang'a county commisioner, John Elungata, says the unruly transporters have been driving carelessly and endangering the lives of road users in Murang'a, Kirinyaga and Kiambu counties. He further said that the police have launched a crackdown on the vehicles.
