Six people have been transported to Hawke's Bay Hospital after a crash on the Hawke's Bay Expressway on Monday morning. Six people are in hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in Hawke’s Bay after a concrete truck ran into backed-up traffic. Police said a truck and up to four other vehicles were involved in the crash on the Hawke's Bay Expressway in Napier about 8.20am on Monday. It is the second serious crash within three days in Hawke’s Bay, after a woman and child were involved in a crash on a remote road in Central Hawke’s Bay on Friday. The woman remains in a critical condition in Hawke’s Bay Hospital, while the child – who is younger than 5 – has since been discharged.
