Ravensdown staff called an ambulance and helped the seriously injured man until paramedics arrived. Campbell understood the five staff taken to Christchurch Hospital with "minor injuries" had inhaled smoke, and had since been given the all clear. An investigation is under way after six people were injured – including one seriously – in an electric shock incident at a Christchurch factory. A man in his 60s, a contractor, was taken to Christchurch Hospital's emergency department in a serious condition.
