Picture by Snehal SenguptationSalt Lake: Six men with alleged criminal antecedents were arrested in and around Salt Lake Central Park minutes after chief minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the 42nd Calcutta Book Fair on Tuesday evening. "The other two were caught red-handed while they were trying to lift a woman's purse at a book stall," an officer of the Bidhannagar commissionerate said. The accused were from the fringes of Salt Lake such as Duttabad, Nowbhanga and Sukantanagar." According to the arrangement, three teams of cops in plainclothes would patrol the fairground and another three teams would keep tabs on people around Central Park.
