A Chapainawabganj court has sentenced six people to rigorous life imprisonment in a case filed over the murder of a man in 2012. The convicts are Sahar Banu, 44, her son Abdul Hakim, 31, sister Hajera Begum, 48, and brothers Riazul Islam, 58, Matiur Rahman, 46 and Habibur Rahman, 41. Judge Md Ziaur Rahman of Chapainawabganj Additional District and Sessions Judge’s court passed the verdict in the presence of the six Wednesday afternoon. According to the judgement, Sahar Banu took Tk70,000 from her husband Abdur Rahman and lent it to her brother Matiur. There had been a longstanding row between Sahar and her husband as Matiur failed to pay back the money to Abdur Rahman.
