England Netball faces a huge bill after being ordered to pay all the costs of a legal case brought by the chairman of a local club. An arbitration tribunal has ordered the governing body to lift the suspension that it imposed on Colin Meister, chairman of the Brentwood club in Essex. England Netball had also hired a private investigator to look into his background. The Sports Resolutions tribunal’s findings have been declared confidential but it is understood that England Netball has been told to pay its own costs as well as Meister’s, and to make changes to its safeguarding policies.
